- 1 med frozen banana (slice before freezing) a ripe banana works best
- 1 tbsp Tahini peanut butter works well as a substitute
- 1 tbsp milk of choice
- 3 dates, chopped or 1 tbsp chopped pieces
Place the frozen banana slices, tahini (or peanut butter), milk, and chopped dates into a powerful blender (e.g. Nutribullet).
Blend until smooth. If the mixture is struggling to blend, add another splash of milk (but be careful to not add too much).
If you want a soft serve texture, you can serve it right away. Otherwise, pop the blended mixture back in the freezer for about 2 hours for a firmer, scoopable texture. You can also freeze it indefinitely until you need it, but then it may need to thaw for 15 - 30 minutes before it will be soft enough to scoop.
Makes about 3 scoops.
